Role in the project: Roberto will assist with collecting data for the database of legal and regulatory norms, collecting raw data for the database on public procurement from public agencies, work on the list of feasible and relevant indicators, drawing on the existing ones and creating new indicators and he will also contribute to the creation and deployment of a European transparency legislation observatory.
Biography: Roberto Martínez B. Kukutschka is a PhD candidate and a Research Associate for the DIGIWHIST project at the Hertie School of Governance. Previously he worked for the EU FP7 ANTICORRP project. Roberto obtained his Master’s Degree in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance and holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from CIDE (Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas) in Mexico City. Before joining Hertie, he served as Head of the Anti-Corruption Department at the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT), where he was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the International Anti-Corruption Conventions and for developing a corruption risk assessment methodology for the tax collection process. Mr. Martínez B. Kukutschka has also worked as a consultant for Transparency International and the U4 Anticorruption Resource Centre.
