Join the Open Contracting community for a one-day pre-event ahead of Transparency Camp EU.
In the morning take part in an interactive training workshop, introducing the details of the Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS), and how it can be used to open up data and documents on every stage of the contracting process.
In the afternoon join us for presentations and discussions exploring the ways in which groups across Europe are making contracting data more accessible and more impactful.
About Open Contracting
Government contracting is worth trillions of dollars a year.
Open Contracting is about opening up public contracting through disclosure, data and engagement so that the huge sums of money involved are spent honestly, fairly, and effectively.
It’s an idea that is at work across sectors and along the whole process of government contracting to use the power of open data to save governments money and time, deliver better goods and services for citizens, prevent corruption, and to create a better business environment for all.
The Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS) provides a open standard format to provide open data and documents from all stages of the contracting process.
This workshop is co-organised by the global Open Contracting Partnership, HIVOS, and theOCDS Helpdesk, creating a space for shared learning for groups from across Europe working on opening up contracting.
